17 days of trekking and climbing in the Annapurna Region

What is a visit to Nepal without a mountain to climb? With thousands of peaks in the country, there are many that are just right for you to experience.

Pisang Peak rises 6091 m/19,983 ft and offers a panoramic view of all the mountains of the Annapurna Range. From on top of Pisang Peak, you can see Mustang, Tibet, and the valleys of Manang and Kaligandaki with the later featuring the deepest gorge on the face of the earth!

The trek starts out in sub-tropical flora and fauna and makes its way over Thorong-La Pass (elev. 5416 m/17,769 ft. The trek itself is ideal for those with moderate physical conditions and this part of the trek is by way of tea houses. The climb up Mt. Pisang does require better physical conditions and it is a camping trip. The climb to the top of Mt. Pisang is one day, including up and back.

A combined trek and mountain climb is the ideal way to experience the high Himalayas.
