15 days of trekking, rafting and jungle safari in Nepal
Life is sweet, especially when you get a chance to do it all. And on the Langtang to Chitwan Adventure, you can! From high mountain trekking, to whitewater rafting to exploring jungles on elephant-back, it all can be done in just 15 fun-filled days.
This journey begins with a day visiting the UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Kathmandu. On your first full day in the capital, you will explore mystical temples, ancient palaces and places that date back centuries.
From Kathmandu, the journey will take you north to the incredibly beautiful Langtang National Park. A picturesque mountain valley nestled in the Langtang Mountains, it offers some amazing views. There are holy lakes to discover (108 of them!) that reflect the mountains in its brilliantly deep blue glacier-fed waters. There are high snowcapped mountain peaks, spectacular waterfalls, deep gorges and high cliffs that will dot the trail. You will also pass through rhododendron forests, fields of wildflowers and observe wildlife along the way.
Of special interest is that this is one of the places in Nepal where you can see the endangered red panda. These beautiful, but shy animals inhabit Langtang National Park. They are beautiful animals to behold, about the size of a large raccoon with red bands over the eyes. They are nocturnal creatures and rather shy, but do have a natural curiosity about them.
From Langtang, you will experience a two day rafting trip down the mighty Trisuli River which originates in Langtang. It is a white-water rafting experience where you will camp along the way as the river roars its way toward India. You will camp along side of the Trisuli River and then move southward.
Finally, you arrive at Chitwan National Park, home of the Royal Bengal Tiger and the rare One-Horned Rhinoceros. It is a a jungle safari where you look for wild animals on the back of an elephant as you penetrate deep into the jungles.
Then it's back to Kathmandu for a final tour of the UNESCO World Heritage sites at Bhaktipur and Patan.
All of this can actually be accomplished in 15 memorable days. Contact your representative at PANDA TREKS & EXPEDITIONS for more details as well as for the opportunity to book this amazing Langtang to Chitwan Adventure!
