25 Days in the land of Mt. Everest

Mera Peak rises 6,461 m/21,197 ft. in Eastern Nepal, affording the climber an outstanding view of Mt. Everest and the high peaks that surround it. The climb comes through the picturesque Hungu Valley that charms visitors with local culture and scenery.

Mera Peak is a popular trekking peak. It is a challenging climb to its snowcapped peak. Mera Peak is classified as a trekking peak, which means that it is not as difficult as Everest, but will certainly offer its share of challenges. From its summit, five 8,000+ meter peaks can be seen, as well as many more that are lower in elevation, but just as majestic. It is a straightforward ascent, with the biggest challenge being acclimatization. You will have an experienced climbing guide to assist you in making the journey.

The Hungu Valley is mainly uninhabited except for shepherd kharkas where animals are grazed in the summer seasons.

This is a camping trek, and you will be provided a guide, porters and a good quality chef that will prepare hot, delicious food along the way.
