12 Days of trekking in Annapurna with the world's toughest people!

Almost everyone has heard of the Sherpa people, but how many of you have heard about the Gurung tribe? These mountain people are some of the toughest people in the world!

The British Army prized the Gurungs for their bravery and fighting skill. They became the true Gurkha Army forces of Great Britain and India. They were noted for such intense bravery, that their soldiers were the most highly decorated of the British Army.

Small and strong, they can run up and down mountains without breaking a sweat. Yet, in spite of their toughness in combat, they are some of the friendliest people you will ever meet. Their hospitality is second to none, and they love visitors to their villages.

Their main village is Ghandruk where there is a museum and a chance to experience their culture to the fullest. But this trek will take you through their lands to the hot springs of Tatopani, plus an early morning sunrise over the high Himalayas at Poon Hill. This trek will also feature some free time in both the cities of Pokhara and Kathmandu where you can do some sightseeing.

You will like the Gurung people when you meet them, and come away with a great deal of respect and admiration. This is a trip that combines beautiful scenery and incredible culture. Why not discuss this trip with a representative at PANDA TREKS & EXPEDITIONS. They are on good speaking terms with the Gurungs, and will be happy to introduce them to you.
